This policy describes how Experanza LLC. ("we") handles personal data in the Shopify app "Exp: Points, Rewards & Loyalty" (the "App").
2. Data we collect
The App processes only the minimum data needed to provide loyalty points functionality: (1) customer identifier (Shopify customer ID), (2) order information (amounts, items, status — to calculate earning and clawback), (3) email marketing consent state (to award the newsletter signup bonus), and (4) points balances and history (generated and stored by us).
The App does not collect customer name, phone, or address. Email is used only for notifications where necessary.
3. How we use data
We use the data to earn, confirm, reverse, and redeem points; to display balances and history; to award bonuses (e.g., account signup, email subscription); and to provide, improve, and protect the App.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on access-controlled cloud infrastructure, and all traffic is protected with TLS (HTTPS). Access tokens obtained from Shopify are encrypted at rest. We isolate data per merchant (shop).
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties except as required by law or with infrastructure subprocessors necessary to operate the service (hosting, database, email delivery), which are bound by appropriate data protection obligations.
6. Privacy webhooks (access & deletion)
We respond to data access and deletion requests in accordance with the Shopify privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact). On a deletion request we permanently delete that customer’s points account and history for the shop. After the app is uninstalled, we delete all data for the shop.
7. International data protection (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are located in the European Union (GDPR), the State of California (CCPA), or another region, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to its processing, and to exercise other rights under applicable law. Submit such requests through the store or contact us below.
